All students who attend the Saturday School of Community Languages are expected to behave in a respectful, responsible and safe manner at all times.

Homework is valued and supported as an important adjunct to student learning, high achievement and to consolidate learning in the classroom.
Homework assists in the process of communication between teachers, students and parents/caregivers
Homework includes set work, daily revision, preparation for future lessons, assignments and study for exams
Homework assists students to develop effective time management skills.
Homework will be allocated with consideration to students' other commitments.
It is recognised that language skills are best developed through regular practice.
Homework is purposeful, engaging, challenging and relevant; it will consist of task completion and consolidation of knowledge, skills and understandings developed in the classroom. This may involve practice, preparation and extension.
All set homework will be validated and marked promptly with appropriate feedback being given to students.
Support will be provided to students having difficulties with homework.

Parents and caregivers support students in their homework commitments.
Parents and caregivers are encouraged to communicate with teachers.
In the first instance, teachers will notify parents and caregivers where students fail to complete homework. Where students consistently fail to complete homework the supervisor will contact parents and caregivers.
