Homework and behaviour policies

You may download the centre's behaviour for successful learning guidelines (PDF 153KB)

All students who attend the Saturday School of Community Languages are expected to behave in a respectful, responsible and safe manner at all times.

As outlined in our whole school  homework policy (PDF 125KB), homework is an important part of your learning. At the Liverpool Boys HS centre it is managed and monitored in the following way:

  • The teacher provides homework to their students regularly and appropriate to the learning
  • The teacher will discuss any non-completion of homework with the student
  • Teacher records the student's name, outstanding homework and date in their diary
  • Teacher can then expect homework to be completed from the student on the same day or will negotiate a new due date
  • If the student fails to submit their homework on 3 occasions, the student will be referred to the assistant supervisor
  • The assistant supervisor will counsel the student and will decide on the appropriate action to be taken. This may involve continued monitoring by the assistant supervisor.
  • If the non-completion of homework continues, the assistant supervisor will inform the centre supervisor and a meeting with the student and the student's parents/caregivers will be arranged to discuss the issue.
