There are 3 entrances to the school.

  1. By car: turn into Elizabeth Avenue from Liverpool Road, (the laneway adjacent to Wests' Leagues Club). Limited parking is available through this entrance. 
  2. On foot: enter via the front school gate – on Liverpool Road Ashfield
  3. From Ashfield railway station: turn left into Elizabeth Avenue, walk through the public car park and enter via the back school gate.

The Saturday School office is located on the top floor of Block G (which can be identified by the Saturday School notice board)

Our hours of operation

Centres are open only on Saturday mornings. You may contact the head office of the Saturday School during the week by emailing: Saturdaycl-h.School@det.nsw.edu.au or calling 9244 5694.

  • All classes start at 8.30am. Years 7 to 10 classes conclude at 10.30am.

  • There is a recess break from 10.30am until 10.45am.

  • Years 11 and 12 classes continue until 11.45am.

  • Year 12 Extension classes commence at 11.45am and conclude at 12.45pm.

Homework and behaviour policies

Homework is an important part of your learning as outlined in our whole school homework policy (PDF 12KB).You may download the centre's behaviour for successful learning guidelines (PDF 153KB) . All students who attend the Saturday School of Community Languages are expected to behave in a respectful, responsible and safe manner at all times. At the Ashfield Boys HS centre it is managed and monitored by:

  • assigning authentic and relevant homework on a weekly basis to supplement learning
  • ensuring regular monitoring of assigned homework
  • providing ongoing feedback to the student about homework activities
  • engaging in regular communication and feedback to parents/caregivers about homework
  • working with students identified as ‘causing concern' by arranging meetings with executive staff and parents/caregivers to resolve learning issues
